Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Everyday was different. Some days I was researching, other days I was helping proofread and update documents. Regularly attended client calls and team meetings. There were also presentations and workshops throughout.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was exciting. On the scheme, several panel and expert discussions are arranged so you can get a real insight into what the business looks like, operates and evolves. You are encouraged to ask questions and the people presenting are enthusiastic when responding and seem genuinely interested in why you would like to work at the firm.

Certainly. Professional communication, being proactive and seeking and responding to feedback and networking are just some of the skills I developed on the scheme.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone I encountered was nice and keen to answer any questions I had. Obviously, the work is very serious and you realise that as soon as you start helping with tasks. However, I found that conducting complex work while working in a friendly team struck a great balance and was indicative of the wider company culture.
