Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

From the first day I was given the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects each giving me the chance to learn and develop new skills, including writing planning appraisals, statements and cover letters. Through the month I have also had the ability to attend large internal and client meetings. Furthermore, through the summer scheme programme I have had the ability to network with a wide range of people in the business.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

From the first day I was given the responsibility of tasks from projects the team were working on. Following this I had to manage my time accordingly and be proactive at asking questions and managing my workload.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

From being immersed in the Savills team I have had the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop new skills. Opportunities to attend presentations on different departments and specialisms within Savills has helped me to learn more about the different areas of the company as well as what career I would like to pursue in the future.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have been given lots of support and guidance through my placement. The network of graduates in the team has also helped me to feel confident asking for questions and guidance. The summer scheme framework of departmental overview meetings has also helped me to structure my day and feel part of a team.
