Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

The daily tasks varied from writing reports, comparables, visiting sites, sending emails, calling agents, or updating requirements. I was given a good level of responsibility and there were rarely moments where I had nothing to do during the day. Most days I would spend in the office at my desk.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I could have been given more responsibility and would have liked to visit more sites with my team.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

As a non cognate I was able to really gain an understanding of terms within the real estate industry, but also I was able to develop skills necessary for working in real estate. I improved practical skills when updating listings or writing reports but also my presentation, attention to detail, communication skills,

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

There was lots of support at the start then less nearer to the end, but it was understandable as my team were very busy with things to do and there is not always work available.
