Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I was able to visit a number of different estates, with varied property portfolios and management strategies. Working in the various estate offices gave a great insight into the day to day operations and running of the estate. It was interesting to work with private clients, and clients in the public sector.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We had many Zoom calls with talks from the various departments and potential roles available within Savills. However, I think this could be improved by dedicating a networking day to speak to the different departments, and other summer scheme students one on one to gage a better understanding and more interactive than zoom calls

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I don't think I've learned any specific skills, but it has been useful to put what I have been learning in lectures into real life situations, which has helped to develop my understanding of many areas of property and planning law. I think I have also developed my communication skills and working in a professional environment.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
A very welcoming office, with great people and a very positive environment. Everyone was very helpful and encouraging throughout my experience.
