Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Numerous site visits and activities on a weekly basis. Various QS and BS office work and site work.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
A lot of responsibility is given to undergraduates within the first few weeks to break the ice to what you will be doing for the year on placement. Throughout my placement I have been to weekly site visits in London (mostly on my own). This has helped develop reliability within the team.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
This year has been hard with COVID but everyone has tried the upmost to help everyone feel connected like it was before. The team is very sociable and welcoming.

I enjoyed it very much. If the opportunity arises to work at Michael Dysons it will always be a great one. The year has thrown its challenges but there is always help to overcome them.

Be prepared to be going onto site most weeks. No need to stress as help is always there for you. Be yourself and open to asking questions to gain knowledge as everyone in the team will have a positive input.
