Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Site and production floor visits, constantly looking for things to improve. Focusing on energy reduction techniques to be more environmentally friendly. Meetings with companies which are helping us reach out energy goals. Receiving training to work on this site safely, including in confined spaces, heights and working with food.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have only had two weeks of placements so far and I still have a year to go, I know I will be taking over the energy reduction projects. I will be responsible for making sure the right work is being done, that the data and costs are correct and meeting with other experts to make sure this project can go forward.

A lot of soft skills have improved, meeting new people and working with contractors. Safety training has been received, along with training for risk assessment, working at height and in confined spaces as well as food hygiene
