Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I perform various reports including (business flowdown brief of the previous fiscal week, compliance review detailing the outstanding and overdue actions across the business, logging employee working hours) Updating of onsite MSDS sheets, review of chemical management, Solvent management, data pulling for incident and accident records, assigning and tending to safety concerns, writing of safety campaigns, performing safety walks and audits, handling of PPE)

I have been given much responsibility to which I have felt as more of an employee rather than an intern.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have not received much guidance as I have no strict mentor. I have received sufficient support from my department and my independence in my working life has proven to be a big help in building upon my professional development.
