Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Roles varies day-to-day and can involve a variety of different things. Working on the CFM56 product I lead the Leading Indicator Programme for GE Wales which involves the collection and documentation of part conditions for engines.
I also supported Product Support Engineers (Hardware Owners) with their queries and questions surrounding parts and part conditons
I also helped with workscope escalations to understand why a component has been escalated to a certain repair level

Lots of responsibility was given during the placement. You are left to do your own thing and problem solve solutions on your own (with help though if you need it).
You are assigned a mentor who will provide you with tasks and will help you to become competent in your daily role, allowing you to become independent and therefore improving your professional skillset
