Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Worked in the Customer Technical Programs Team within the GE90 product line. Role involved working with customer to support engine maintenance. Managing fleet findings, such as evaluating the performance of new part designs. As well as supporting the development of new tool and processes for the Wales MRO.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Interns were given a lot of responsibility over the placement including leading projects or our own. The placement has given me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and make contributions which have made a difference.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
The placement has really helped with developing my presentation skills and leadership skills especially as interns are encouraged to lead projects. The placement has also helped with my organization skills and commercial awareness as I got used to working in a professional environment. The placement also deepened my technical knowledge on different repair processes and the new innovations in the gas turbine industry.

All interns are assigned a mentour who helps guide them through out the internship. The site also have a internship committee who planned training sessions and gave interns the opportunity to present to senior members of staff.
