Summer Scheme | City Investment Review

I worked in the City Investment team, where we provide bespoke advice to clients on the acquisition and disposal of assets in the City of London.
Ultimately, I am the most junior member on the team, and therefore work gets passed down through the hierarchy and onto me.
I have worked on acquisition proposals, portfolio overviews, attended viewings, created a development pipeline, ran cash flow models.

I was definitely given responsibility. However, to say I was fully satisfied wouldn't quite be truthful.
That being said, when I spoke up and asked to be run through a cash-flow model, I was given that responsibility. Perhaps, I should have spoken up more often.

I have developed my linguistic skills in the realm of real estate. I have improved my understanding of the interconnection between the Yield, Passing Rent and Value of Real Estate. I have developed an understanding of the key things investors consider when purchasing Real Estate.
To me, what I've appreciated most, was gaining a better pulse on the current market and the cyclical challenges we're facing.
