Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
During my day I undertake a range of different tasks within the estate management department. I have also spent time with the different departments in the Perth office gaining a better knowledge of what everyone in the office does.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given a huge amount of responsibility whilst still being assisted and taught along the way. This has really helped to motivate me to work hard and showed me what I would be expected to do if I was to undertake a surveying career.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed many existing skills whilst undertaking this opportunity, such as my communication skills. This role has demanded a huge amount of concentration and willingness to learn. I have developed new skills by learning how to operate different software's and systems which are used within Savills.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given a huge amount of support and guidance on every task that I was given. Although I was given support I was also trusted to get on with tasks my self. I felt very comfortable to ask for help if I was struggling and everyone was always keen to show me what to do.

What advice would you give to others applying to Savills
I would advise anybody to apply for the summer placement as I feel this has been a very useful and informative month. I have gained so much further knowledge and skills whilst working here and feel confident this is the career I want to do after Uni. Savills offered a very welcoming and inclusive environment from the day I started.
