Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Partaking in the valuation of commercial properties such as offices and industrial properties. This often involved lots of due diligence such as environmental reports and investment/rental comparisons. Also writing of the valuation reports
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I felt like at times I was given significant responsibility in the valuation of properties and as my work was not constantly being checked on. However, sometimes I felt like I was being given work that other people didn't want to do

Developed skills such as initiative as have had to find things to do when other people are not present to delegate work. Developed existing skills related to real estate such as better understanding of yields and what affects the property market

Lots of support and Guidance. The Savills team were very helpful in organising online meetings to give support and guidance. Also my mentor and the rest of the team were extremely helpful

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was positive and I felt very included in it. The general atmosphere was goof, people seemed to be enjoying themselves and there was no noticeable tension or bad feeling.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed my placement to a full extent. I learnt a great amount about the property market and surveying, whilst learning and developing new skills whilst on the job. I felt very included in the office and everyone was very helpful even if not in my team.
