Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Daily I would spend time researching, planning experiments and running test. I would discuss with my manager weekly.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes you are given quite a lot of responsibility which is nice. You are definitely treated like an employee and not just an intern.

The general atmosphere is extremely chilled and relaxed. You can wear casual clothes to work and everyone is friendly and smiles whenever you see them.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed elements of my placement. I made really great friends and formed great relationships. I enjoyed my daily work but I would have enjoyed it more if it was more collaborative.
