Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work as a product developer in the tea section of Unilever. I develop new black/green tea blends as well as developing existing blends to meet a brief.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
At first I was not but this is understandable as I was knew to the business. As I progressed I found I was given responsibility, running my own project and organising team tastings.

I have developed my organisational skills, organising tea tastings. I have also built stronger networking skills and am able to reach out to people in my team and the business for help.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed gaining an insight into the F&R industry in a role I want to pursue in the future. It was also great to gain exposure to such household brands such as Lipton and PG Tips.
