Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The 2 day insight event consists of a few webinars and mostly workshops. The webinars introduce students to work in Amazon and job application steps and tips, while the workshops was mostly interacting in a small group with a mentor. In the workshop, the mentor gives us a problem to solve in pairs or individually. At the end, we explain what we have done and get feedback from the mentor.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I felt quite neutral about this point, not very good nor very bad either.

No, most skills taught in the workshops or job hunting tips mentioned in the webinars are all things that most second year students already know or learnt about through their own experience. Though, it will be very useful for 1st years.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I can see that the leadership principles are really important in Amazon, at least during the application process. The Amazonians also always refer to these principles any time they can, which shows it's really core to Amazon.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
It was very nice and better than expected. It was nicely structured and organised, although there was some technical problems. The workshops were very fun and enjoyable as the problems are fun and is challenging enough (not too hard, not too easy).
