Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On a day-to-day basis we were welcomed in the morning, and then took part in workshops in which we were in groups with different activities each day but building on the same concept they spoke about. We were working individually, as a group, and lastly we worked in pairs. There were also varying panels targeting different aspects about their company e.g., affinity groups, recruitment etc..
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
This opportunity was very insightful and I am very grateful. I learnt specifically what Amazon is looking for whether that is technical in coding or soft skills etc... They made it clear the roles available.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very welcoming and that remained across both days which was nice. My mentor try her hardest to ensure everyone was included and interacting.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed gaining more knowledge and working with others to build on that. I enjoyed understanding more about Amazon and the internal affairs that those who do not go to Amazon wouldn't be aware of.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon
Even if you are uncertain, apply anyways as the Amazon culture and employees make you feel comfortable and you will have a definite answer after that. Number one thing is do your research and ensure you fully immerse yourself with their Leadership Principles because everything is centred around that!
