Job Description

Supply Chain Management Degree Apprenticeship 2026

About the role

Are you finishing school or college and looking for an alternative to the traditional university route? A Degree Apprenticeship with Siemens Healthineers allows you to earn a salary, gain real work experience, and achieve a fully funded degree — all at the same time.

As a Supply Chain Degree Apprentice, you’ll join Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Oxfordshire, where we design and manufacture high‑tech medical imaging components used by healthcare professionals worldwide. We’ve been welcoming apprentices for many years, and you’ll join a supportive network of apprentices and early‑career professionals who are highly valued across the business. Our Supply Chain & Logistics team plays a vital role in enabling the manufacture of MRI systems that help make healthcare more accessible across the world.

Starting in September 2026, as a Level 6 Supply Chain Degree Apprentice, you’ll gain valuable experience in one of the world’s leading healthcare companies while working towards a fully funded degree qualification in Supply Chain Management. Over the four‑year apprenticeship, you’ll build knowledge and practical skills in a real workplace environment, taking on more responsibility as your confidence and experience grow. This role is designed to help you build strong foundations for a future career in supply chain or related business roles.

Our operations are currently based in Eynsham, and as part of a major investment in the business, we are moving to a brand‑new, purpose‑built facility in Bicester as it comes to life in 2027. You’ll start your apprenticeship at the Eynsham site and work with teams across both locations, gaining valuable insight into how a large‑scale business manages the transition of operations while continuing day‑to‑day delivery.

What you’ll be studying

You’ll complete a Level 6 Supply Chain Management Degree Apprenticeship, working towards a BSc in Supply Chain Management (Professional Practice) in partnership with Aston University.

Your studies will include modules such as:

  • Logistics and operations management
  • Project and change management
  • Supply chain analytics
  • Finance and commercial awareness
  • Technology, innovation, and digital tools in supply chains

You’ll spend most of your time in the workplace doing a real job, with dedicated study time built into your working week to support your learning.

What you’ll be doing (as your experience grows)

With support from your manager and team, you’ll gradually take on responsibility and learn how supply chains work in practice. This may include:

  • Helping ensure the right materials are available for production
  • Managing stock levels within your area of responsibility, balancing availability, cost, and space
  • Working with suppliers to track deliveries and resolve issues
  • Taking part in team meetings and cross‑functional projects
  • Using digital tools and data to support improvements
  • Supporting change activity, such as new product introductions

You’ll be fully supported with training, mentoring, and regular check‑ins, and we understand that everyone learns at a different pace.

Who we’re looking for

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organised, and keen to learn.

You’ll need:

  • Three A‑Levels at grade CCC or above, or equivalent (e.g. BTEC)
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above
  • A positive approach to learning and trying new things
  • An interest in how businesses, logistics, and supply chains work
  • The ability to work well with others and communicate clearly

No previous supply chain experience is required — we’ll support you every step of the way.

We know that many applicants at this stage won’t have had full‑time work experience yet. We’re interested in how you approach learning, work with others, and take responsibility — whether that’s through school, college, part‑time work, hobbies, or personal projects.

You must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the four year Apprenticeship and meet the Department for Education and Skills funding rules, including residency criteria.

What we offer

  • A fully funded Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship (no tuition fees)
  • A competitive starting salary with planned progression
  • 26 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Access to a wide range of flexible benefits
  • Ongoing mentoring, training, and development support
  • A friendly and inclusive working environment where your ideas are valued
  • Excellent long‑term development and progression opportunities

Our inspiring and caring environment forms a global community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering the resources and flexibility to support your professional and personal growth — while valuing the unique contributions you bring.
