About the role:

To support the business with day-to-day tasks, including content creation, campaign coordination, follow up contact to the clients, targeted to book meetings and leads for the Director to follow up and digital activity, while developing practical marketing and business development skills through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain social media calendar, engage with followers, monitor competitor activity, and reshare relevant news across our social media channels
  • Draft blog posts, Hamilton Group updates, and create marketing materials such as booklets, flyers and learner success stories
  • Upload new content to Hamilton Group website as required and maintain the Student Hub and Library sections
  • Collect and analyse basic social media, website and newsletter performance data
  • Assist with maintaining and creating content
  • Maintain the asset and brand library, and assist with communications, formatting and branding tasks.
  • Support with filming and editing content.
  • Create targeted marketing and sales campaigns and send them to perspective new clients
  • Use data from multiple sources to increase and improve a database of potential clients to market to.
  • Follow up these campaigns with further outreach via phone, email and other mediums to generate leads and meetings for the Director
  • Maintain and develop a database, keeping track of frequency and types of marketing activity
  • Analyse and review engagement and success of marketing campaigns and adapt and change to evolve your campaigns for future improvement
  • Accompany the Director on sales meetings and learn how to present and pitch the businesses services to clients you’ve generated from your marketing campaigns

Essential skills:

  • A genuine interest in building a career in marketing and business development
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in using MS office applications
  • Good organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Able to work in a team and support colleagues
  • Able to be self-sufficient and sometimes be working off own initiative with limited supervision
  • UK driving licence and own vehicle

Additionally, the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) or Canva
  • Any background/experience in marketing/sales/business development

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Hours & benefits:

  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
  • 1 hour lunch break
