Engineering Placement 2026 - M/F

What does the role look like?

Our Engineering Industrial Placement provides you with a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, real-world engineering environment. Based at our Banbury site, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that contribute directly to the design, development, and validation of advanced composite technologies used in aerospace applications.

You'll be involved in a range of activities, from product design and testing to supporting new product introduction, gaining valuable experience that will help you prepare for a future career in engineering.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Support the identification, design, and validation of new systems and components.
  • Create CAD models and detailed drawings, defining key technical and quality features.
  • Conduct design validation using hand calculations, FEA, and testing.
  • Assist in the design and commissioning of tooling for manufacture and testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure technical compliance.
  • Analyse test data and compile engineering reports.
