Digital Solutions

During your placement you will apply principles of data engineering, data analytics, software development and automation to design and deliver scalable digital solutions across the business. You will work with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to build robust data pipelines, perform data engineering tasks, and develop insightful dashboards that support data-driven decision making.

You will use Snowflake and SQL-based databases for data modelling, transformation, and optimisation, ensuring high-quality, reliable data is available for reporting and analytics. In addition, you will support the development of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, leveraging emerging Agentic AI approaches to enhance automation intelligence, streamline business processes, and drive productivity gains.

The focus is on delivering practical, high-impact digital solutions, generating meaningful business insights, and effectively communicating outcomes to stakeholders across the organisation.

Students from a variety of backgrounds including Engineering, Computing, Data Science, Computer Science and Mathematics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organisation to understand business challenges and deliver effective digital solutions.
  • Work alongside digital developers, data engineers and analysts within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Design, develop and deploy end-to-end digital solutions that improve process visibility, efficiency and decision-making.
  • Build and integrate applications, data pipelines and automated workflows using operational data to support continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute as an active member of the Digital Solutions team, supporting the delivery of innovative, high-value capabilities across the business.
