Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship 2026 (Public Estates Account)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Business Administrator Apprentice to join our Public Estates Account.
- Starting Salary: £24,293 per annum.
- Location: Amey c/o The Business Village Innovation Way, Barnsley S75 1JL
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift Pattern: 37.5 Hours per week Monday to Friday

As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification which normally runs for 12/18 months. You will be fully supported by our partnered college to achieve this qualification by attending college 1-day per week, having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.
Our Public Estates account supports schools across the country by providing essential facilities management and operational services that help create safe, efficient, and inspiring learning environments.
The main duties are to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Head of Business Support, contributing to the effective delivery, standardisation, and continuous improvement of business support services across Public Estates. The role will assist in process improvement, compliance, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring the smooth running of business support activities and supporting the achievement of organisational goals.
Additionally, the role will provide PA support to the Business Director.
As you progress through the apprenticeship program, you will work toward achieving key responsibilities
- Operational Support
- Assist in delivering business support strategies, coordinating standardisation activity, preparing documentation for senior forums, and organising meetings and workshops.
- Process Improvement
- Support continuous improvement by helping enhance processes and systems, monitoring progress, and providing training on new ways of working.
- Governance & Compliance
- Help manage dashboards and data accuracy, support CRM/CAFM administration, and ensure compliance with GDPR, H&S, and audit requirements.
- PA Support to the Business Director
- Provide proactive PA support including diary and travel management, meeting coordination, minute‑taking, and preparing key documents.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners, supporting smooth engagement across the account.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum 2 GCSE’s Maths and English are required.
- Available to join the programme asap.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- High level of motivation and initiative; self-starter
