The team:

Corporate Audit is responsible for providing an independent assessment of whether processes within Bank of America are adequately designed and functioning effectively to mitigate potential risks. Teammates cover all areas of the Bank, performing validation of the company’s risk management activities through testing of key processes and controls.

Programme Overview

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Corporate Audit team in Chester in September 2026 in a full-time role as an Apprentice whilst studying the Level 4 Internal Audit Technician.

Training and Development

Your training and development is our top priority, with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout. This is your chance to learn, contribute, and grow in a dynamic global environment.

Responsibilities:

As you progress through your apprenticeship, you’ll apply what you learn directly to your work at Bank of America—building real-world experience while developing critical skills. The apprenticeship will support you in developing in key elements of the role below:

  • Master the fundamentals of audit practices, methodology, and business acumen.
  • Play a key role in delivering annual audit coverage—testing processes and controls to validate risk management across the company.
  • Communicate with impact by writing risk-focused conclusions that explain audit results to senior management.
  • Deepen your knowledge of Global Banking and Markets, the control functions that support them, and the bank’s risk and control framework.

Eligibility

  • Hold or predicted to achieve at least 3 A levels/BTEC or equivalent with a minimum of 104 UCAS points (BCC Grades)
  • At least a grade C or 5 in Maths and English Language GCSE (4 will not be accepted) or equivalent
  • Not in full-time education when starting the apprenticeship (September 2026)
  • Been a resident of the UK for the past 3 years
  • The right to work and remain in the UK indefinitely
  • Not completed a qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher which provided you with substantially the same skills or training as you would gain through this apprenticeship with Bank of America
