đźThe Role at a Glance
On our Technology Graduate Apprenticeship Programme (Software Development), youâll help build and deliver smart tech solutions â from custom apps to full-scale platforms. Youâll get hands-on with the latest tools, help clients bring their ideas to life, and explore exciting new technologies. As part of the team, youâll use your coding skills to design and develop applications and play a key role in spotting and fixing security risks to keep systems safe from cyber threats.
Life as a Technology Graduate Apprentice
As a Technology Apprentice, youâll be at the forefront of innovation using both current and emerging technologies to help shape whatâs next. Youâll design and deliver custom-built solutions and play a hands-on role in every phase of development: from concept and coding to testing and deployment.
You wonât be limited to one path. Youâll explore a wide range of roles across applications, cloud, infrastructure, data, DevOps, tech architecture, quality assurance, and software engineering. Each project brings something new, different industries, different challenges, and different technologies.

đ What Youâll Learn
Youâll receive a blend of structured learning, hands-on experience, and tailored apprenticeship training to help you grow into a confident technologist. From day one, youâll be supported by mentors, coaches, and a dedicated Accenture team focused on your development and wellbeing.
You will start your journey with some core training, teaching you all the skills youâll need to be a successful analyst at Accenture. You will undergo some programme specific training to prepare you for your first client role. This can include delivery lifecycle, specific technologies and platforms, core programming languages, and the essential developer toolkit. You will get the opportunity to gain industry recognised accreditations in areas such as Cloud and Technology Platform certifications.
Youâll get access to:
- Core Analyst Training: Our core learning programme designed to help new joiners build confidence and skills across areas from delivery best practice, how to work with clients, and programme specific skills.
- Project-based learning: Youâll work on real challenges and with support from experienced teams, gain confidence and knowledge on the job.
- Technology Exposure: Depending on your specific project, youâll get exposure to a wide range of different technologies and systems and receive training to understand how to use as well as help implement them.
- Apprenticeship Training: Youâll study towards a BSc (Hons) Software Development at Glasgow Caledonian University. The programme lasts for 4 years. Youâll spend one day a week at university and four days working on client projects, applying what you learnt in real time. On successful completion, youâll have the opportunity to move into a permanent role at Accenture.
- Professional Development: We will invest in your continuous growth through our extensive learning portal, offering curated pathways, classroom-based and self-paced courses, and on-demand resources to keep your skills sharp throughout your apprenticeship.
đWhat youâll need
To join our apprenticeship scheme, youâll need to have achieved Scottish Highers (BBCC) or 96 UCAS points or equivalent SCQF Level 6+ qualification across âAâ levels or equivalent with qualifications in Computing, Maths or Application of Maths. Apart from these requirements, it doesnât matter which other subjects you have studied. What matters most is your genuine passion for technology and your ability to demonstrate itâwhether through your studies, extracurricular activities, or work experience. An interest in modern technologies such as Cloud, Data and Generative AI will be useful. Programming experience is helpful, but not essentialâweâll support you in building those skills along the way.

đą Your Development Path
Once youâve completed your initial training, youâll be ready to take on your first role. Project placements vary depending on business needs, and we encourage apprentices to explore a range of opportunities. Typical roles on this programme may include:
- Full Stack Engineer
- Mobile Engineer
- Platform Engineer
- Quality Engineer
Throughout your apprenticeship and beyond, youâll be supported with ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to help you grow your skills and shape your career. Youâll also work across a variety of projects, giving you the chance to explore the breadth of what we do, apply what you are learning at university and discover where your strengths and interests lie. On completion of your apprenticeship, youâll be aligned to a specialised business area that reflects your ambitions. From that point on, youâll continue to build expertise, take on more responsibility, and shape a career path that is uniquely yours.
To bring this to life, here are some examples from past/ recent Technology Apprentices:
- Miranda completed the programme in 2025 and is working as a data engineer for a Public Safety client, building automated solutions and data pipelines, resolving data quality issues, and delivering analytical insights.
- Eve joined the programme in 2022 and is now working as a data orchestrator and platform administrator of a live application integral to a key UK infrastructure project for a large Resources client.
- Marie-Claire joined the programme in 2023 and has most recently been working as a junior content designer for a large Public Sector client, contributing to the design and delivery of user-centred content.
đ˘ Where youâll work
At Accenture, we value collaboration and connection. Youâll be expected to work from your assigned UK office at least three days per week, so you must live within commuting distance. Depending on project needs, you may also spend time at client sites across the UK, sometimes more than three days a week. Expect a dynamic, hands-on environment where in-person teamwork helps you grow, build relationships, and make a meaningful impact.

The start date for the programme is September 2026. Places are offered on a first come first served basis, so we encourage you to apply early. Deadline for applications is 16th February 2026.

- Step 3: Interviews If you pass the assessment, youâll be invited to interview with us. Interviews typically include: One interview with a recruiter; A final in-person interview with a manager from the business.
