Position: Business Management and Marketing Assistant – Personal Care & Kitchen 13 month Student Industrial Placement

Regularly interacts with: Product Managers, Sales account managers, Sample warehouse manager, Brand communications team, European team, Regional Marketing, Japan HQ, Other placement students

Primary Location: Bracknell Office

Travel Requirements: Must be able to attend the Bracknell office up to three times a week (hybrid working model). Occasional travel may be required.

The Panasonic Personal Care category is dedicated to innovating superior beauty tools that harness leading-edge Japanese technologies to groom beards, style curls, clean teeth, and shape smiles across the world.

The Panasonic Kitchen Appliances category provides consumers around the world with cutting-edge kitchen appliances, ranging from microwaves, bread makers, air fryers, and combination ovens, to name just a few.

Primary Responsibilities

This role involves:

1. Collaborating with the Brand Communications team and creative agencies to design captivating in-store and event product displays that elevate brand presence.
2. Updating web content for online retailers, driving the marketing success of the online sales channels.
3. Managing product sample stock by coordinating global deliveries and collections, whilst supporting Brand Communications and PR by dispatching samples to influencers, press, and events.
4. Assisting in various promotional activities and Trade/PR events, with the potential to attend photoshoots and manage set lists.
5. Bringing potential new ideas and insights into the team, on both the market and product.
6. Maintaining regular communication with different internal departments including Sales, Brand Communications, PR, Finance, and Planning to share information on marketing activities.
7. Assisting with the business planning process during your year with us.
8. Coordinating and leading the recruitment process for the next placement student, including creating job descriptions, reviewing applications, and assisting in interviews to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in the role.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Panasonic offers a comprehensive training package and a one-month handover period with the current student, ensuring a smooth transition and in-depth understanding of the role.

Experience and/or knowledge of the following would be beneficial:

• Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams)
• Key social media platforms
• Photoshop
• Modern marketing knowledge
• Independent working
• Working in a team
• Communicating with customers via email
• Presentation skills (or the willingness to develop these skills)

Whilst knowledge and experience of a business environment is helpful, a proactive personality and willingness to succeed is key.

Qualifications

Must be a current university student on a course with an integrated industrial placement year where this experience would be beneficial to your course.
