We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Work Winning Graduate to join Amey Complex Facilities Division.

The salary is £28,500 per annum

Start date is September 2026

We’ll also support and pay towards a relevant professional qualification.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious graduate to join our Work Winning Graduate Programme, designed to develop the next generation of leaders in our business. This rotational programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across four key areas: Business Development, Bidding, Commercial, and Operations.

Over the course of the programme, you will complete 6-month rotations in each of these functions, gaining a holistic understanding of how we identify, secure, and deliver successful projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to live projects, and develop the skills needed to build a successful career in the built environment.

During your rotations, you will:

Business Development

  • Support market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of client engagement materials and presentations.
  • Attend market engagement events to gain client insight.
  • Contribute to pipeline development and strategic growth initiatives.

Bidding

  • Participate in the end-to-end bid process, from PQQ to final submission.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop compelling bid content.
  • Support bid planning, governance, and lessons learned reviews.

Commercial

  • Gain exposure to contract management, cost planning, and risk analysis.
  • Assist in preparing commercial reports and financial models.
  • Support procurement and subcontractor engagement processes.

Operations

  • Work on-site or in project teams to understand delivery and execution.
  • Contribute to project planning, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
  • Learn about health & safety, quality assurance, and sustainability practices.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
