What You’ll Be Doing

The Discover BA programme will give you a unique introduction to life at British Airways and the wider aviation industry. These short placements offer a real taste of what it’s like to work at British Airways, helping you explore potential career paths while building valuable experience for the future. During the programme you’ll have the chance to connect with our teams, ask questions, and start building a professional network to support your future career!

• Discover BA Placement - Business (7th – 9th April 2026)
• Discover BA Placement - Engineering (21st – 23rd April 2026)
• Discover BA Black Heritage Futures (14th May 2026)
• Discover BA Future Pathways (27th May 2026)

Who We’re Looking For

This opportunity is open to first- and second-year university students from any discipline who are eager to learn more about our business and the aviation industry. We are looking for those who are motivated, ambitious and interested in pursuing a career in aviation.

Application Process and Timelines

• Applications for this placement will be open between 3rd November and 19th November 2025.
• Once you have submitted your application you will be invited to complete a video interview. The deadline to complete this will be 4th December 2025.
• If you are applying for our Discover BA Placements, you will be invited to a virtual assessment centre in January 2026.
• We will contact you directly to confirm your place on the programme.

Here’s some helpful information you may need before starting the application process:

• All sections of your application need to be complete by the deadline given
• You are only able to apply for one Discover BA Placement. Please ensure that you are applying for the placement that suits you best.

Do you have any questions or need advice? During the recruitment window, we will be running weekly virtual drop-in centres for applicants to talk to our recruitment team. Come along any Tuesday between 3:30pm and 4:30pm by joining the MS teams link.
