Sales Executive Higher Apprenticeship (Immediate Start)

Please note these key requirements before applying:

  • 📍 Location: This role is fully office-based at our London location. Candidates must be within a daily commutable distance (approx. 1-2 hours maximum).
  • 🗓️ Start Date: We are looking for candidates available for an immediate start in December 2025 or January 2026.

Hours: Full Time / Permanent / 37.5 hours per week Salary: Competitive salary and bonus

The Role:

Founded in 1969, Hobs Reprographics has grown to become one of the UK’s leading independent print companies, with over 140 employees across 19 locations nationwide. We are proud holders of the Royal Warrant, providing reprographics services to the Royal Household.

This entry-level sales role will see you supporting the London Sales Manager and wider regional sales team, with tasks such as account management and lead generation. The role may take on additional responsibilities over time, and evolve within the business internally, in line with an in-house development plan.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in our continued success and national growth. You will develop a detailed understanding of our core services to support high-level sourcing of potential clients and sales.

As an Apprentice Business Development Manager, you will help play an important part in delivering Hobs’ national growth strategy, working to develop and maintain relationships with existing Hobs accounts, as well as generating new business opportunities. With thousands of established accounts, there is plenty of scope to make a real impact.

You will engage with clients via email or telephone, arranging regular meetings to demonstrate new technologies and service offerings. This is the perfect opportunity for a positive, enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys being part of a team, dealing with clients on a regular basis, and getting involved with creative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with inbound enquiries
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure orders and projects run smoothly
  • Identifying and targeting companies that would be interested in partnering with us
  • Reaching out to new and existing companies on a daily basis, through face to face meetings, calls, email, social selling, networking
  • Scheduling calls and arranging face-to-face meetings
  • Liaising with internal teams to develop and pitch proposals
  • Working within the sales and operations team to meet desired sales budgets
  • Ensuring we offer the best service possible
  • Developing and nurturing client relationships
  • Ensuring all sales reporting is regularly and accurately updated
  • Harnessing social media to promote what Hobs provide.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to organise tasks, multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to analyse, see trends and identify patterns
  • Excellent follow-up communication and expectation setting
  • Self-motivated and can-do attitude
  • Entrepreneurial flair
  • Practical competence of MS packages and email
  • Ability to solve problems and think of solutions.

Development

  • Entry onto the Apprenticeship Sales Executive qualification, starting at Level 3 / 4, dependent on experience
  • Regular updates with the Line Manager
  • On-the-job training and advice
  • Structured development plan for the first two years
  • Opportunities once qualified to continue development and focus on specialist areas within the Hobs Group.
