Job Description

Business Transformation & Strategy Graduate Programme

About the role

Are you looking for a Graduate Programme with real impact and international opportunities? Join us at RWE and help shape the strategic backbone of our global operations. Our Business Transformation & Strategy Graduate Programme is designed to give you broad exposure to the functions that drive business growth and long-term success.

Across four six-month rotations, you’ll work in diverse areas such as:

  • Project Management
  • Strategy
  • Communications & Events
  • Business Transformation
  • Sustainability
  • Risk Management
  • New Business Implementation
  • Compliance
  • Back Office Functions

Your journey will begin in Swindon, UK, with the opportunity to rotate to other locations such as London, Essen (Germany), Singapore, or the US (Chicago or Austin). After the programme, you’ll be ready to take on a permanent role in one of our global locations and continue your career in corporate functions.

Job requirements and experience

Want to learn and grow alongside experienced experts? Excited to explore new markets with a commercial business that is expanding on a global scale? We’re looking for ambitious Graduates who want to make an impact in corporate functions. To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • A degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in any discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • IT proficiency
  • A collaborative, curious mindset with a drive to find new solutions
  • Commercial aptitude and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Flexibility and mobility to travel internationally
  • Motivation to take on challenges, both independently and as part of a team

This programme is designed for those who want to shape the business from a strategic support perspective, not for those looking to return to operational areas.

From here, you’ll have a community of support.

At RWE, we have the energy to be inclusive and believe diversity drives success. Reaching your full potential means being able to bring your whole self to work and being respected for the different opinions, strengths, and experiences you bring.

Our graduate programs have been designed to give you the chance to shape your own career path and personal development, with the support you need to succeed. You’ll be assigned a graduate buddy and a senior mentor within your field who can advise you on rotations and introduce you to key people within the business.

We also offer a wide range of development opportunities, including networking events where you’ll meet senior managers and board members. We are committed to developing our Early Careers cohort, encouraging their passion to grow, and helping to develop their skills with their future careers in mind. Our development journey is anchored around a strengths-based program designed specifically for graduates, giving you the chance to shape your own development and experience deeply personalized learning in immersive environments. All this is further complemented by instructor-led training.

And after the program? The only way is up! Most of our graduates continue their careers with us long after their programs have finished. The skills you gain will provide the perfect springboard for your future career.

Your benefits

At RWE, we’ll do everything we can to support you in fulfilling your potential. Our benefits include:

  • Competitive salary plus annual discretionary bonus
  • Company pension and discounted employee share scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy 5 extra days
  • Two paid annual volunteer days for a charity or initiative of your choice
