What awaits you?

  • You will be part of a planning team who is responsible for new vehicle content introductions, installing automated production equipment and the design of bespoke tooling.
  • Equipment Planning: You will be working alongside our planners to co-ordinate and prepare for our planned pauses in plant operations which allows us to install new equipment.
  • Vision Systems and Fastening Systems: You could be a part of a small specialist team who plan, install and commission equipment to ensure that every vehicle is built to the correct specification.
  • Structural Planning: To assist our structural planning team, of whom are responsible for creating virtual visualizations and serving as concept planners for feasibility investigations of new models, all within the scope of our current building.
  • Pre-Launch Production Support: You will assist in advancing pre-launch production by developing repeatable and reproducible processes. This includes working with chassis, powertrain, trim, and fluid components.
  • Tooling and Jigs Design: You will contribute to the design and validation of special tooling and jigs necessary for MINI production. This involves CAD designing, on-site 3D prototyping and collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Project Steering Responsibility: You will take on responsibilities within project steering functions, supporting our strategy of implementing three annual changes to vehicles in series production.

What should you bring along?

  • Currently pursuing a relevant engineering degree with an expected grade of 2:1 or higher (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or similar fields).
  • Strong analytical skills, a quick learner, and an innovative thinker.
  • A keen aptitude for detailed project management.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; experience with CAD is beneficial.
  • Ability to translate academic knowledge into practical, real-world applications.
  • Proficiency in English is required; basic knowledge of German is a bonus but not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly summarise and present topics.
  • Additional advantageous skills include programming, adaptability to new environments, and good self-organisation.

What can you look forward to?

  • Great Pay – A competitive annual salary of £25,250, 26 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.
  • Rewarding Work-Life Balance – Contracted working hours are 37 hours a week, with a half day on a Friday, helping you develop a fulfilling work-life balance.
  • Exciting Additional Benefits – You will have the opportunity to enjoy other employee benefits, including an on-site gym, a subsidised on-site restaurant and access to our Advantages scheme which gives you a range of offers and discounts.
