Internal Communications and Change Management - Placement Year

BMW Financial Services, Farnborough - Internal Communications and Change Management - 13-month placement (July 2026)

As the Internal Communications and Change Management Intern, you will have a pivotal role, giving you the opportunity to interact with all business functions at every level across the organisation, from the Management Committee to all associates. The role is varied, enabling you to explore all aspects of the company including collaborating with the BMW & MINI National Sales Companies, Headquarters in Munich, BMW Financial Services in Ireland and UK Manufacturing Plants. You will be responsible for the creation and alignment of daily and weekly communications for all BMW Group Financial Services entities in the UK and Ireland. You will work with various stakeholders from around the business to support the team transform business working practices and engage our people with our strategic direction.

What awaits you?

This internship will support the Change & Innovation and Internal Communications Managers. The role holder will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support with 'All Employee' meetings and events.
  • Define and develop communications, ensuring we are fully leveraging all appropriate channels, including actively exploiting digital media assets.
  • Influence, drive and support all activities which promote positive employee engagement within our workplace.
  • Use an employee voice tool to identify trends and actions with the support of the business to support the implementation of positive change.
  • Support the Change & Innovation Manager in the creation and facilitation of Strategy workshops and training.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently studying towards a Business-related undergraduate degree or similar, with predicted grade of 2:2 and above.
  • Strong communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements.
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and put forward suggestions for improvement.
  • Confidence to communicate with senior management and all business areas.
  • Strong written, numerical and reasoning skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work at both a detailed and high level.
  • Ability to prioritise activities, work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Competent knowledge of MS Office suite (specifically PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Individual must be outgoing, inquisitive and confident with a professional approach.
