Government Affairs - Placement Year (Farnborough)
Position: Government Affairs - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)
Location: BMW National Sales Company, Farnborough
Start Date: July 2026
What awaits you?
- Support the Government Affairs team in daily administration, policy work, and event organization.
- Assist in liaising with government and external bodies, as well as internal departments.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, including visits to UK plants and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Help build and maintain relationships with UK government officials and external organizations.
- Support internal and external communications to promote BMW priorities and initiatives.
What should you bring along?
- Currently studying or having completed a Bachelor’s degree, with a passion for Politics and communications at 2.2 level or above.
- Relevant work experience or enthusiasm for government, politics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to support event planning, stakeholder liaison, and administrative tasks effectively.

A competitive annual salary of £25,300, 27 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.
