Job Description

Legal Summer Vacation Scheme

PwC’s two-week paid Legal Summer Vacation Scheme is the main route to securing a training contract with us. Over the course of the scheme, you’ll gain valuable legal experience while working directly alongside our expert lawyers.

You’ll join client meetings, conduct research, practise legal drafting and rotate across two different practice groups, with examples including Corporate and International Business Reorganisations, Employment, Real Estate, Digital and Data, Intellectual Property and more. Throughout, you’ll receive feedback and guidance from your supervisors, helping you develop key legal skills and confidence.

Who can apply

  • Law degree students: penultimate year onwards (including graduates)
  • Non-Law degree students: final year onwards (including graduates, subject to completing the PGDL and SQE)

Graduate pathway

  • Law students: complete the one-year SQE LLM Masters before starting the two-year training contract
  • Non-Law students: complete the one-year PGDL, then the one-year SQE LLM Masters before starting the training contract
  • PwC funds tuition fees and provides a maintenance grant (£12,000 in London or £8,400 regionally)

  • Complete scheme assessments (business exercise, written task and case law activity)
