Digital and Social Media PRG Placement

Job:
As the Digital and Social Media Intern, you will support the management of Porsche Retail Group’s digital footprint and social media community by working with the Digital and Social Media Manager, to create digital and social media content.
This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year. The role will commence in August 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Digital and Social Media Manager, develop and implement digital and social media strategies with the aim of increasing Group, Centre, product and brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Working with the Digital and Social Media Manager and Centre Management, create original, exciting and engaging social media content across all platforms and channels, including taking part in Centre photoshoots and attending monthly Centre visits.
- Updating content across all group websites to fit with overall Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy and to adhere to required Porsche brand guidelines.
- Staying up to date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies and discussing these with the Digital and Social Media Manager and Head of Marketing during regular updates.
- Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments, social media posts and Centre reviews (e.g. Google and Facebook) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Tracking, reporting, and analysing website analytics, social media growth/engagement stats, marketing campaigns and new/used car enquiries, to enable robust measures of Return on Investment (ROI).
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in digital and social media marketing.
- Strong and fluent English proficiency.
- An understanding of how each social media channel differs with content and its community and to be able to optimise content accordingly.
- Pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude, looking to actively identify opportunities and challenges and propose ideas and potential solutions.
- Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Ability to work alone productively and with initiative, but also as play an active role as part of a team.
- Good skill levels across MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and Image/Videography packages, with a keen eye for photography and videography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing and communications savvy with a willingness to learn and develop in this evolving environment.
- Comfortable with data and analysis and preparing of reports and summaries.
- Confidence to work with Directors and Senior Management teams.
- Willingness to travel, on occasions, to locations across Southeast England to visit our 7 Porsche Centres and Distribution Centre.
- Full Driving License.

Location:
Porsche Retail Group Head Office is located conveniently by junction 12 of the M4, adjacent to a retail park, gym, and well-known fast-food restaurants. It is within walking distance of Theale's main line train station and a bus stop which operate regular services to Reading Town Centre.
