About the Team

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Graduate Engineer (Aviation) to join Amey Consulting within our Pavement & Asset Management Practice. We are actively working actively working with some of UK largest and/or busiest airport clients, with a strong pipeline of future opportunities at other UK airports. From runway rehabilitation to taxiway upgrades and apron design, you’ll be part of a team shaping the future of aviation mobility and safety.

You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of aviation civil and pavement schemes, from early-stage feasibility and design through to construction support.

Your work will include projects such as, runway and taxiway rehabilitation, apron upgrades, and airfield asset management. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, asset managers, and specialists in material and digital disciplines.

What you’ll be doing

As a Graduate Civil Engineer (Aviation) in our Pavement & Asset Management Practice, you’ll be immersed in a variety of projects and gain experience in the design, assessment, and delivery of civil engineering projects within the Aviation sector.

You will work alongside the team to:

  • Support the design and delivery of airfield civil and pavement schemes across various airports
  • Assist with materials selection, structural design, and lifecycle planning
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and condition assessments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including highways and asset management specialists.
  • Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse pavement performance.
  • Contribute to technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation standards, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.

  • Civil Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above

  • A Full UK driving License
