What you will be doing

You will will join the Cockpit & Avionics Platform System Engineering department and you will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Cockpit & Avionics Platform System Designer (m/f). You can expect to be involved in the following:

Cockpit Systems Design:

  • Participate in the design of future avionics platforms for next-generation aircraft (IMA, AFDX), display systems, and the flight warning system.
  • This includes capturing requirements from aircraft operations, designing the solution, its integration, and performing verification & validation (V&V) activities.

Preparing the Future:

  • Contribute to the evolution of systems on our best-selling aircraft and prepare the future by paving the way for breakthrough concepts such as autonomy and Artificial Intelligence, and introducing the latest technologies (Visualization, Touch, Interactivity, etc.).

Transversal Skills Development:

  • Engage in transverse system integration activities, liaising with other aircraft system teams (ATAxx), cockpit operations, and human factors specialists.

Innovative Methods & Tools:

  • Drive the transformation of current tools to an MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) environment and promote agile working methods (SAFe), while using simulation and automation tools (e.g., Matlab, Python).

Development Pathway:

  • Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into the position.

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study (Systems and/ or Avionics Engineering; Embedded Systems and/ or Information Processing)
  • You have completed ​non-aeronautical studies with the same field of disciplines, but must show an obvious interest in aeronautics
  • Recently graduated or initial professional experience in the field of Aeronautics, Avionics, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge in SE/MBSE is considered a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language English (French is a plus, but not mandatory)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
