What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Rotor system stress engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
- Sizing and substantiation of helicopters rotor and suspension parts in static and fatigue thanks to different methodologies (analytical, simulation, FEM, tests) in order to ensure the correct safety margins and service lives of these parts thru different development or in service sustaining phases.
- Preparation, support and analysis ground and/or flight tests required for the substantiation of the parts and the loads assessment in collaboration with the lab test and flight crew department.
- Learning and improving skills in Finite element modelling (Abaqus, hypermesh, samcef…)
- Learning and understand behaviors (physical, functional) of system/component especially static and dynamic behavior of structures dedicated to rotor system parts
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
At the end of the 2 year development program you will have developed into the position of Rotor system stress engineer.
What we look for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Program, you will need to demonstrate you have:
- A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
- Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of mechanical behavior of helicopter rotor parts
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
- The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
