Duration: 12.5 months

About us:

At the Filton Plant, we are responsible for the manufacturing of A400M Wings and A350 Equipped Gear Beams. We also produce Additive Manufacturing parts and manage a variety of Research & Development packages of work.
Our multifaceted industrial environment means you will gain experience working with a diverse range of teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
What you will be doing:
As a Plant Industrial Improvement intern at Filton Plant you will get exposure to:
- Production and Manufacturing;
- Plant performance data analytics;
- Continuous improvement;
- Business management ;
- Airbus Operating System standards;
- Environment, Health & Safety Improvement.
Amongst others, you will be tasked with the following:
- Performance dashboard creation using data analytics;
- Supporting Business Reporting;
- Ad-hoc improvement project Management;
- Supporting Business Improvement Manager in daily activities.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Studying towards a degree in Engineering, a Technical field, or equivalent;
- Interested in data analysis and project management;
- The ability to listen, understand and communicate information;
- A strong interest in developing yourself;
- Interested in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
