Human Resources Digital Transformation Placement

Start date: 17 August 2026

Location: Filton, Bristol

Duration: 12.5 months

This placement will give you the opportunity to be at the heart of the transformation of both the Airbus business and the HR function, truly experiencing how business and HR will work in the future and how technology can influence these new ways of working.

What you will be doing:

During this placement, you will work as a part of the HR UK Transformation and Digital team in the UK to support these objectives across a number of areas. The activities you may undertake will include:

Transformation and Change:

  • support the company transformation through the new HR organisation, introduction of new HR tools and the adoption of new ways of working across HR and the wider business.

Digital and Data:

  • Improve HR operations and services through the deployment of new HR digital capabilities whilst enforcing respect of data protection standards and principles within HR

HR Performance:

  • a robust system is in place to measure the efficiency of our processes and reinforce the link between key performance indicators and priorities.

Employee Experience:

  • by simplifying HR initiatives for the business and striving for continuous improvement and by focusing on employee experience Airbus will deliver fit for purpose HR related solutions.

HR4HR:

  • working with the HR Business Partner for HR to promote the personal and professional development solutions available for the HR community.

Communication and Change Management:

  • supporting all HR communications, project management and change support activities.

Requirements:

  • Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
  • Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
  • Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following: Studying towards a degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Project Management, Digital/Information Technology, or equivalent;
  • You will ideally have experience of team working and enjoy the opportunity to work in a collaborative way across many projects and teams;
  • You should be happy to challenge the norm and seek opportunities to be creative and learn from these experiences;
  • Experience with Project Management would be a plus;
  • Understanding the importance of successful relationships with customers and acknowledging that customer satisfaction is key!

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
