About us:

Join the Customs department and play a vital role in our operations. Our work is incredibly rewarding, offering you a unique opportunity to understand the import and export sector from a legal perspective.This placement involves preparing Customs documentation to ensure all imported or exported shipments comply with applicable laws, enabling smooth entry or export.Our team plays a critical role in the supply chain process, dealing with various stakeholders daily. We work with procurement teams and projects from the very early stages of negotiation, perform customs clearance for incoming materials, and manage export formalities for the final product. This gives us a broad overview of all activities involved in the satellite manufacturing process and makes our job incredibly interesting.

What you will be doing:

During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include:

• Supporting Customs Team in daily import/export of satellite parts;
• Supporting the end to end process, from supplier to customer;
• Preparing accurate customs clearance data entry work in accordance with Customs and Government regulations;
• Entering details onto SAP system and specialised customs software;
• Awareness of the supply chain operation, including logistics.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only.Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards a degree in one of the following: Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics;
• Good computer skills including Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint;
• Good communication skills;
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
