About the role

Are you looking for the ideal start to your career with an exciting, global company? Are you passionate about engineering and interested in developing solutions for the future environmentally sustainable aircraft?

If so, the Airbus Apprenticeship Scheme is an exciting opportunity for you to start your career at a leading engineering company in the aerospace sector. You will receive second to none training, obtain a BEng (Hons) degree and experience working in a broad variety of placements, where you’ll be mentored and supported by our experienced team.

As an Engineering Degree Apprentice, after around 9 months completing your vocational foundation diploma, you will join one of the engineering teams at our site in Filton. You will work alongside our world class engineers and experts to gain a broad exposure to the engineering elements of our Commercial Aircraft Programmes.

We’re looking for Apprentices interested in studying a degree in Electromechanical engineering to be able to specialise in the design and integration of mechanical and electrical systems, structures and material science, to pioneer the future of aircraft design and testing. There are career opportunities in the following departments (selection process after the vocational foundation diploma):

  • Landing Gear Systems
  • Fuel & Inerting Systems
  • Environmental: Electromagnetic Hazards
  • Fuel & Landing Gear Testing

You are given real freedom in your placements. During these placements, you will continue to develop your skills and technical knowledge through a combination of academic study, on the job experience and training.
