Our Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships 

Our apprenticeships let you earn industry-recognised qualifications while enjoying a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you'll study with a trusted training provider—such as a college—and gain real-world experience with tangible workplace responsibilities.

Depending on your course, you might follow a day release, block release, or distance learning pattern. Throughout your journey, a dedicated mentor will support your personal and professional development. Typically, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships last two to three years, during which you'll secure both a professional and an academic qualification to further your career. And when you complete your course, you'll join Arup on a permanent basis, setting you up for ongoing progress and success!

The Opportunity   

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship opportunities are available in Belfast in the following areas:  

Geotechnics: 

• Join a passionate ground engineering team, collaborating daily with civil engineers on projects that transform the transport, water, and built environment sectors.
• Dive into pioneering geothermal energy work—partner with industry experts who guide government and private clients in unlocking the power of sustainable, green energy.
• Accelerate your journey, whether you’re just starting out or working toward Chartership, with a structured training pathway that sharpens your professional and technical skills.
• Gain real-world experience through close work with seasoned Arup professionals and active interaction with external clients and contractors, empowering you to take increasing ownership of your projects as your skills evolve.

We are looking for candidates with five or more GCSEs at grade C/4/5 or above including Maths (Grade B/5/6 or above), English and Science or their equivalent.

• To qualify for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have the right to work in the UK and have resided continuously in the UK since at least September 2022; visa holders must ensure their visa remains valid for the entire duration of the apprenticeship (up to 5 years).
