Programme Overview:

PwC’s Summer Internships provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience across various sectors of our business. The internships are designed to give you a deeper understanding of PwC’s key service areas, allowing you to work on real projects and deliverables that have a direct impact on our clients.

During this internship, you’ll be immersed in PwC’s culture of learning and development, working alongside experienced professionals in fields such as audit, tax, consulting, deals, technology, and economic consulting. You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your skill set and explore potential career paths in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Areas of Specialisation:

Audit and Assurance:

Work with a range of clients to help ensure the accuracy of their financial information, providing confidence in the numbers they report.

Gain experience in both traditional audit and digital audit, where you’ll use innovative technologies to transform the audit process.

Tax:

Assist with providing tax compliance and advisory services to a variety of clients, helping them navigate complex tax laws and reduce their liabilities.

Work in Core Tax, focusing on tax compliance, or support clients in specialist areas such as deals tax and ESG tax.

Consulting:

Participate in management and strategy consulting projects, helping clients address complex business challenges and improve their operations.

Support clients in areas like technology consulting, economic consulting, and risk consulting, using data analytics, financial modelling, and digital solutions.

Deals:

Gain exposure to the deals cycle by supporting projects related to mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and delivering value during deals.

Participate in our Delivering Deal Value and Deals ESG teams, assisting clients in maximising the value of their deals.

Technology Consulting:

Help clients leverage the latest digital tools and technologies to optimise their operations, manage risks, and drive innovation.

Work on data analytics, cloud computing, and cybersecurity projects, gaining practical experience with cutting-edge technology.

Legal Services:

Join our Legal Summer Vacation Scheme, where you’ll support PwC’s legal services team, gaining experience in areas such as corporate law, mergers, acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

Throughout the summer, you will:

• Work on real client projects, developing your technical skills and gaining a practical understanding of your chosen business area.
• Receive coaching and support from experienced PwC professionals, helping you build confidence in the workplace.
• Participate in development sessions and networking events with other interns and PwC staff, giving you insight into potential future careers with us.
• Explore different service lines and projects to discover where your strengths and interests lie.

You’ll also have access to a dedicated mentor who will help guide your learning and professional development during your internship. At the end of the programme, you may even have the opportunity to apply for a full-time graduate role.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals who are curious, driven, and eager to learn. To succeed in our Summer Internships, you should have:

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• A proactive approach to learning, with a keen interest in the business world and how technology, audit, tax, and consulting services can solve clients’ problems.
• Currently studying towards a degree (2:1 or equivalent) in any discipline. Some roles may favour degrees in business, economics, law, data science, or computer science, but we welcome applications from students in any field.
