Ashurst Law Training Contract – Open to Penultimate, Final Year Students & Graduates

Application Criteria

You should be on track to achieve a strong 2:1 (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree. If you haven't met this criterion and there are mitigating circumstances, there will be an opportunity for you to provide us with this information in your application. (These may need to be evidenced by a doctor, where relevant, and an academic reference). This information will be requested of you at the appropriate time.

Application Process

(Applications open after the Register Your Interest period closes)

  1. Online Application Form – Submit your application
  2. Online Testing – After applications close, you will receive a link to complete our online assessments.
  3. Online Assessment Centre – Complete a written case study.
  4. In-Person Interview – Meet with HR and an Associate/Senior Associate at our London office.
  5. Final Interview with Partners – Includes a case study task to assess your commercial awareness. This will take place in person at our London office.

Eligibility

  • Open to final-year students and graduates from all degree disciplines, as well as penultimate-year law students.
  • Assessment centres and interviews will take place in Summer 2026.

Important Notes

  • Online testing links will be sent after the closing date of applications. You will have a set period to complete the assessment.
  • Extensions will only be granted in cases of extenuating circumstances.
  • Failure to complete the tests within the timeframe will result in your application not progressing further.
  • If you require adjustments, please contact us so we can provide appropriate support.
  • Applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis; all will be assessed after the deadline.
  • If you have previously applied for our Winter Vacation Scheme 2025 or Summer Vacation Scheme 2026 and were unsuccessful, you are not eligible to apply for this role.
  • You may reapply in the next recruitment window.
