Programme Essentials
To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Currently be an undergraduate studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year
- Looking for employment after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
In addition, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 - Friday 16th July 2027.
We strongly advise that you do not apply to more than 1 Internship role to ensure that you are considered for the Internship that you are most interested in and that your skills are aligned to
What will I be doing?
As a UK Marketing & Publicity Intern within the Theatrical team, you will be supporting fast-paced teams (Marketing, Publicity and Trade Marketing) to facilitate and deliver innovative film campaigns, whilst also developing your own skills and knowledge to help you progress within the industry.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the team with all Marketing, Publicity and Trade Marketing elements of a film release
- Team coordination and administration support
- Cross-team, media and publicity agency liaison
- Participating and helping facilitate brainstorming sessions for campaign ideas
- Helping with adhoc projects such as research, creating presentations, collecting industry news and digital innovations within the entertainment & adjacent industries
- Supporting the team in managing budgets by raising purchase orders, recording costs and dealing with billing queries
- Assisting with the planning and logistics of talent tours, events and screenings
- Compiling post-campaign coverage reports
What will I learn from this opportunity?
- The day-to-day operations of how a high-performing entertainment company operates
- A full understanding of how to deploy 360° film marketing campaigns – you will be working and collaborating with a wide variety of teams such as Media, Publicity, Trade, Research, Sales and Finance
- The key skills that are needed to pursue a career in marketing by leading and managing specific marketing projects
Qualifications
What do I need to bring to the role?
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Excellent IT skills (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum)
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, and learn quickly
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work hard
- A love for new and evolving social media platforms such as Tik Tok
- An interest in entertainment media and broad awareness of the UK media landscape
- A real love for film and keen interest in the film industry
- Enthusiasm, positivity and proactivity
