What made you want to join Volkswagen Financial Services?
Having always had a great interest in cars in addition to studying banking and finance at university, Volkswagen Financial Service gave me the opportunity to combine a passion of mine with my career aspirations. Having worked here for a couple of months, I am pleased to say I definitely made the right choice.
What are the highlights of your placement so far?
Meeting an entirely new group of people in a corporate environment that I hadn’t yet explored has been a highlight. There is a good social atmosphere within and out the office, we have a golf society where I get to play rounds of golf with colleagues across the business including board members.
How would you describe the culture at VWFS?
Within VWFS there is a very dynamic work environment with many different opportunities, from sustainable business development to personal wellbeing with the learning and development scheme.
What do you do on a day to day basis within your role?
I work for the new business centre in the credit assessment department underwriting new and used car finance applications ranging from Skoda’s to Audi’s to Porsche’s.
What advice would you give to a student following in your footsteps?
The greater amount of effort and enthusiasm you give to the role and company, the greater the benefits and rewards you will receive in the short term and the long run.
