Assistant Global HRBP UniOps
As an assistant global HRBP the main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of both the local and global HR strategy. The role is varied with no 2 days the same: a mix of data analysis, project management and supporting the business with employee relations both locally and globally with considerations for different cultures and laws.
Highlights of the role include working within a global team brining new cultures and new perspectives, the opportunity to work on large scale projects that will make a difference to UniOps employees worldwide, such a large department has meant many opportunities to expand network despite being in a virtual working environment.
The biggest challenge of the role was working from home and maintaining the boundaries between work and home life despite being under the same roof. This role has taught me how to manage multiple deadlines and projects at once as well as the importance of prioritising work to avoid being overwhelmed. Since starting this role my presenting skills have improved along with my computing skills.
Advice to next student would be; don’t ever be afraid to ask questions, be good at excel and be ready to learn everyday.
