Why did you apply for your Industrial Trainee Placement at Pfizer?
I applied for my industrial trainee placement at Pfizer as I really liked the idea of working for a company whose main focus is on helping to improve people’s lives. I also have a genuine interest in science so Pfizer seemed like the perfect company for me.
How much responsibility are you given as an Industrial Trainee?
I’ve been given a lot of responsibility which is great as I am able to really involve myself. I am working on a project within Talent Acquisition which requires me to liaise with all the universities to promote the Industrial Trainee Program. I’m exposed to the end to end recruitment process and help support Hiring Managers with their recruitment as well as getting involved in large recruitment campaigns.
What do you enjoy most about your role and working for Pfizer?
The environment and culture at Pfizer is really dynamic and it really is a great place to work. I love the team I’m working in, I feel fully integrated in the team, and we have already arranged social drinks. Overall I think Pfizer has a very sociable and welcoming environment.
What advice would you give to prospective Industrial Trainees when it comes to applying for the Industrial Trainee Program at Pfizer?
I think it is really important to fully research Pfizer as a company, to understand their values and to demonstrate your interest and knowledge in their great product portfolio. This gives a good impression and also shows your genuine interest in what they do. Pfizer are really keen on people who are interested in working with them and love providing opportunities to people with lots of different strengths and backgrounds.
