What attracted you to a career in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte?
It has always been my dream to work for one of the Big Four, and Deloitte seemed like a very friendly place to be. A friend of mine recommended working here, and told me they had a really diverse, inclusive culture where you can shape your own career. I studied economics and finance at university, so Audit & Assurance seemed like a natural fit for me. It's much more creative than people think, and I really enjoy the wide range of work.
In what ways does the firm support inclusion and diversity?
I became a mum at the same time as I graduated, which was a challenging experience as most people are more established in their careers before they become parents. Although I'm a young mother compared to others in the office, I have always been supported to manage my home and work duties alongside each other. My team has always encouraged me to ask for help when I need it, which I really appreciate. Deloitte employs people from many different backgrounds and cultures, recognising that we all have something unique to bring.
