Meet Joss who joined us on our Technology Graduate Programme. Joss tells us how his role impacts our customers and reflects on the quality and variety of training he's received.
I knew I wanted to work with new technologies, so when I was looking for my first Internship, I researched lots of fintech companies. And having lived in Nottingham previously, I'd heard lots of great things from people who worked at Capital One.
As a Quality Engineer, I help to ensure that everything we deliver to our customers performs perfectly. We’re always looking to resolve any problems – with non-tested functionality, performance issues, bugs and so on – and deliver the very best customer experience.
The training and development I've experienced has been amazing. I'm now an AWS Solution Architect Associate and an AWS Developer Associate, which Capital One paid for and supported me with. And I know this is just the beginning.
We have access to Udemy, which is great for self-directed learning when I need to brush up on my skills or learn something new. I’ve also had valuable sessions with my mentor and the wider team – they push me to be the best engineer I can be, while making sure I don’t take on too much.
