Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Agile way of working, several stand-ups, some free time for coding, lunch with the team and other social events that are not work related (some weeks).
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, it took me a couple weeks to already implement something in production. I've had responsibilities since the first day which has helped me grow throughput the placement.

A lot. Not only from managers and other coworkers when I had doubts, but also I was provided with learning platforms such as Pluralsight in order to improve my skills in my own time.

Great, my team was always easy to get along with, everyone was always keen on helping and there were social activities that were not work related that also helped with team bonding

What advice would you give to others applying to Nomura
As long as you have the interest and really put the effort in the application process, Nomura will notice this and the technical skills will not be that important since those can be learned along the placement itself.
